A website that I really enjoy is stumbleupon.com. I like how easy it is to set up an account and get going on this website without too much hassle.  I also like the social aspect of this website being that you can share things that you have found and also see what content others have found and liked.  This website has taken the idea of searching randomly on a search engine and refined it to make it more personal to the user providing fresh content each and every time that you log on without necessarily adding new content which is why I chose it for a site that I love.

A site that I dislike is Facebook.com. I dislike Facebook mostly for its cluttered design.  I dislike the fact that there are so many ads on the site that distract from what you are actually trying to look at.  I also dislike the way that you view content on Facebook. You could be scrolling for hours and if for some reason your page refreshes you may never find the thing that you were looking at again.

A website that includes things I want to know more about is youtube.com. Whenever there has been something I want to learn more about I always do my research on youtube because it contains countless videos that have helped me better understand something visually.  Often I have trouble learning by just following instructions because I am a very visual learner.  Youtube has helped me learn so many skills that I would have never been able to grasp the concept of had it not been for a video tutorial.  I also like the fact that anyone can make content and put it on youtube.  It makes it so easy to interact with others and join communities with similar interests.

In the article Marcotte compares web design to architecture saying that the creation of a foundation, and framework are similar but regarding the end results as vastly different because web design is an ever changing medium.  I liked the way that he talked about a flexible foundation for web design.  By practicing responsive web design it is much easier to expand your website to different and future mediums.
